SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
UID Book Fair - June 11th - June 13th
The whole school is excited about our upcoming Book Fair. An amazing selection of books is headed our way! Mark your calendar. You can shop the fair at school or you can shop online (books purchased online will ship free to the school 24-48 hours after the online fair has ended). The book fair will be open later on Wednesday, June 12th before the UID Science Fair! Click this link for more information.Parent Night at BRMS
Browns River Middle School is holding an information night for the parents of incoming 5th graders on May 28th at 7:00 PM. Come and meet members of the middle school staff and administration at this informal gathering.Move Up Day : June 6, 2013!!! Current 4th graders will spend the entire day at BRMS. From the bus ride or parent drop off in the morning to dismissal they will experience a full day at the middle school.
Grades K-3 will have time during the day to spend an hour or so with their classroom for the 2013-14 school year.
Fourth Grade Celebrations!
Our fourth grade class will hold its end of the year celebration on Friday, June 14th with a full day surprise field trip followed by a pot luck dinner and celebration. This event will be for fourth grade students only, no siblings. Fourth Grade Graduation will take place on June 18th, the last day of school, at 1:00 PMUID Science Fair!
UID will be holding a Science Fair on June 12th from 6-7:00 PM. We announced to the children that our Science Fair theme is water. Students from grades K-4 will be working on a wide variety of student lead projects on this theme. Students will be answering questions such as:
I want to know more about.....
I want to find out how......
I want to know what would happen if....
I discovered.......
I will share my discovery by.....
Hit the Books and see a Baseball Game!
UID supports the Vermont Lake Monster's "Hit the Books Program." Each student who reads four books between June 1 and August 1st can submit a reading log and receive a ticket voucher good for a 2013 Vermont Lake Monsters game. See you at the ballpark!
